If you have the recipe in someone’s own hand, a card from your grandmother, a note from your mum, send it to me. I’ll paint the recipe onto the plate exactly as they wrote it, in their handwriting. It’s the detail people open the box and cry over: a dish, in the hand of the person it came from, kept for good.
