2 Watch it come to life.

Over the next few weeks I make your plate by hand, throwing it on the wheel and painting it brush by brush, and I send you updates as it takes shape. It arrives signed, on its stand, ready to show.

The maker

Who's making your plate.

I’m Franci. Before I worked in clay, I spent five years as an art conservator in Italy, restoring other people’s masterpieces and learning to read every brushstroke, pigment and surface.
That trained eye goes into every plate I paint, now from my studio in Western Australia.
I make each one by hand, to order.
I throw the plate on the wheel, then draw and paint the recipe onto it, so the whole thing is mine, not a blank someone else made.
You’ll watch it take shape, from raw clay to the last brushstroke, and it arrives signed, with a certificate of authenticity.
If it ever turns up damaged, I’ll make you a new one, free.
