Handmade Ceramic Mugs
Every mug here is thrown on the wheel and painted by hand, the same way I make the plates. I draw a recipe straight onto it, then fire it in the kiln. Nothing is printed, and no two come out the same.
These are the desserts that can fit into a mug.
You can make your favourite dessert in it, or simply use it for your morning drink and have the recipe you love right there with you.

Two recipes, one to reach for every morning
What "handmade" actually means here.
I throw each one on the wheel, so I shape it before any paint goes on, then I draw the recipe by hand.
. You feel it the moment you pick one up.
Made to be used
A mug earns its place by being used.
So every one is dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe, and holds up to real mornings. Drink your coffee from it, put it through the dishwasher, reach for it again tomorrow.
The painting is fired into the glaze, so it stays as good as the day it arrived.
Choosing yours.
Both mugs are hand-drawn recipes. What changes is the colour I paint it in.
- Two recipes: Tiramisù and Affogato.
- Three colours: Admiral Blue, Dark Olive Green, or Sangria Red.
- One size: a proper coffee mug, made to hold a real morning cup.
- Made to order: I start yours from raw clay only after you order, so allow about a month.
How it works.
A new batch opens the first Sunday of every month at 7pm AWST. Ten spots, first come. Join the list and you’ll hear first, then choose your plate or commission your own, and over the next few weeks I make it by hand and send you updates as it takes shape.
Made by one pair of hands.
I’m Franci. I trained as an art conservator in Italy, and now I make every plate by hand from my studio in Western Australia. You’ll watch yours take shape, from raw clay to the last brushstroke, and if it ever arrives damaged, I’ll make you a new one, free.
